Workshop : "Script to Screen " : A writers/film-makers' meet

In this informal and interactive workshop-style discussion, we shall seek to understand and appreciate the art and craft of film making from the perspective of a director. We shall begin by discussing sections of a script from two exemplary films, and then view the footage of those sections of the film to understand how a film evolves from the written word to become the film that it is. The discussion would also include mise-en-scene, scene analysis, shot break up and an appreciation of other such creative decisions that the director has taken at every step of the film-making process.

The Meet is Free and Open to all, and will be moderated by Abhishek Jain and Gopal K.

Abhishek is an Assistant Director at the Sanjay Leela Bhansali Production House, Mumbai and an alumni of Whistling Woods Film School. He has directed and assisted in the making of several Short and Feature lenght Films.

Gopal is an alumni of MICA-EDC , and a visiting faculty for Film Making at CEPT and NIFT. He has written and directed several short films and documentary films, and is currently working on the script for his first feature lenght film.
